Which Side Do You Sleep On?

I sleep on the right side of the bed if I am laying on my back. I never have been very fond of the side closest to the wall.

I also sleep on the right side of my double bed, mostly because my previous bed was against the wall on its left side, and I developed a habit of avoiding that side.

I sleep on the wrong side of the bed.

But seriously... I sleep on the left side. At least it's the left when you're standing in front of the bed. But when I'm laying on my back, it's obviously reversed. I always stay on the same side, whether my partner's there or not. Partially out of habit, partially because my clock's on that side and I need to be near my clock.

Right side of the bed, (when laying on my back) always. Unless the bed were up against a wall. Then I would have to be on the outside edge.

I actually prefer sleeping on a futon or couch, and I always sleep turned so I am facing the back. This is regardless of which way I am facing. So I guess you could say I sleep on the inside edge of the couch. I haven't slept on a real bed recently enough to remember what side I sleep on. Sorry.

When my "sleeping partner" (aka fiancee :) is here, I sleep on the inside (wall side) of the bed. I don't like it, but she's rather specific when it comes to sleeping, and I'm okay so long as I can sleep.

When she's not here, I now stay on "my" side of the bed - largely because we have a dual-chamber air mattress, and my side has the firmness I like.

I sort of sleep on the wall. It doesn't matter which side of the bed as long as it's the wall side. I put my back up against the wall and sort of fall a little into the space between the bed and the wall. This habit developed when I was a kid. We had lathe and plaster walls that were smooth and cool. The house had no A/C, so sleeping on the wall was like finding the cold spot on the pillow. Only the wall never warmed up again, so it was a way to cool off in the summer. Not so good to do in winter, though.

When I'm in prison, of course, I keep my back to the wall. You never know what could happen in the middle of the night...

I sleep on the right side - if my partner isn't there I like to get right in the middle...or sleep even diagonally...I try to find a nice sprawled out comfort zone...then POOF I'm OUT!

Definitely on the left side (which, coincidentally, seems to be the "right" side for girls to sleep on.)
Although in hotels I just take stock of the room and sleep wherever feels best. And I love Vellux blankets!

It seems as though I am just about the only girl that has to sleep on the right side (when on your back). I have been trying to see if there has been some study with what the side of the bed says about a person. I saw one years ago and can't find it again

My boyfriend an I just recently moved in together and we've been experimenting with different sleep positions (LoL...). I like the right side of the bed (laying down) because it's farthest away from the door... I don't know why that matters.
