M&Ms are a popular candy treat (not officially endorsed by or sponsors of The Daily Ping). Back when I was a kid, there were two kinds: peanut and chocolate. That was it. You wanted something else, you ate another candy.
But now, the M&Ms... they're everything. Chocolate and peanut are joined by mint, crunchy, almond, and peanut butter - along with the Mini M&Ms. One candy is doing so much, I'm kind of worried about them. I'm half-anticipating a nut-and-caramel version next, followed by my favorite, pure sugar. Your million dollar question today is: which do you enjoy the most? For me, the classic chocolate remains my favorite. Peanut butter is good, quite good; crunchy is weird. Comments

DATE: Thursday March 20, 2003 -- 2:57:43 pm Regular chocolate are my favorite. I still have yet to try peanut butter. Any of that extra stuff is lame and a waste of resources. FROM: Dave Walls DATE: Thursday March 20, 2003 -- 6:58:08 pm Regular ones always and forever, although I am secretly addicted to the peanut butter ones....Peanut are...eh, ok, but avoid crunchy. They just taste nasty. Blah. FROM: Robert [E-Mail] DATE: Thursday March 20, 2003 -- 9:17:25 pm I like when M&M did those tracks with Royce the 5'9". FROM: towinlovinit DATE: Thursday March 20, 2003 -- 11:52:24 pm I love the plain chocolate but do like the ones with peanuts occasionally. I mostly love the m&m toys and shirts FROM: dave DATE: Friday March 21, 2003 -- 7:28:21 am Crispy M&Ms rule. But what's with all the wacky colors?...they're starting to look like Skittles! FROM: Matt DATE: Friday March 21, 2003 -- 3:44:45 pm Royce the 5'9" should get his own line of candy. Maybe some sort of Charlston Chew hybrid. FROM: Dave Walls DATE: Friday March 21, 2003 -- 7:37:17 pm BTW, I dunno if anyone else feels like this (and I feel bad saying this, because I dont want people to think I am bashing the handicapped), but I am tired of seeing the M&M/Special Olympics commericial. FROM: aharris DATE: Tuesday March 25, 2003 -- 1:56:28 pm Paul you are SO right! I've been thinking this for years. Snickers is becoming the same way! They have one now that's like snickers w/ almonds (and correct me if I'm wrong but...isn't that a Mars bar?). Jeebus. This candy thing is getting out of control. FROM: Katie DATE: Tuesday April 8, 2003 -- 2:20:43 am Caramel m&ms ... already here, believe it or not. FROM: Nikki DATE: Tuesday April 22, 2003 -- 1:56:14 am Probably peanut m&m's are my favourite. Followed by peanut butter, regular, then crispy. I can't stand the nut m&m's!. FROM: Shiz [E-Mail] DATE: Tuesday March 9, 2004 -- 2:55:23 pm WHERE do you get mint M&Ms? I've never heard of such a thing. I really want to know. FROM: Lori DATE: Monday November 29, 2004 -- 8:52:23 pm Love the Peanut M&M's and I just found Mint ones in the store last week. red/white/green for x-mas. FROM: Sammy Reed DATE: Wednesday December 1, 2004 -- 1:12:20 am Now about that record I was talking about in which the label accidentally calls the song "Somebody's Gotta Win, Somebody's Gotta Loose", why don't somebody make an edible copy of that same record, in the same flavor as mint M&M's? FROM: Joseph DATE: Wednesday December 1, 2004 -- 1:10:18 pm Reese's Pieces still blow peanut butter M&Ms out of the water. Plain M&M's used to be my favorite, but now I like the peanut ones. You always get at least one bitter bastard for every fifteen peanut M&M's though. Blecccchhhhhh! They ought to sort the crap peanuts better. FROM: Liz DATE: Wednesday March 2, 2005 -- 1:50:30 am My favorite flavor of M&M's is mint. FROM: terry DATE: Thursday March 31, 2005 -- 11:36:59 am i love m&ms. FROM: tom DATE: Tuesday July 19, 2005 -- 10:12:12 am peanut r the best followed by peanut butter but they all rule FROM: Mandy [E-Mail] DATE: Tuesday July 19, 2005 -- 7:51:38 pm Dulce de Leche m&ms. I was blessed to have a friend send me some. Good stuff. I like plain and peanut equally, if that's possible. Second place is almond m&ms in easter colors. I know rationally that they taste the same as the regular colors, but I still think they taste better as pastels. FROM: jared DATE: Tuesday September 20, 2005 -- 10:59:14 pm ITs funny I just randomly came across this and I saw people talking about the mint m&ms. I absolutley love them and was obsessed with finding them a few years ago. I had eaten them so many times when growing up and one day 3 years ago wondered what happened to them. I searched everywhere and all sites and never found a word about them. I thought all hope was lost and they just werent made anymore. But i got a letter from the company after I had written them asking and they told me to keep my eyes peeled with christmas coming up and that soon I would see them again. I found out then they were only out at xmas. Well I stocked up each year enough to get me thrtough til the next xmas. Its now Sept 05 and I have one unopened brand new bag left. If someone wants it I'll send it. Goita have those mint m&ms. FROM: DATE: Wednesday November 2, 2005 -- 12:44:17 am Mint M&ms are out now in CVS and oither stores. FROM: Hoydn DATE: Wednesday December 7, 2005 -- 4:35:54 pm Mint M&Ms are often sold at select Target stores and CVS. Certainly in the Chicagoland area. You'd better hurry. The product is only ran one time a year, at Christmas (hence the Christmas colors). Therefore, when they sell out, you won't see them again until next Christmas. So stock up baby, stock up. FROM: Steve A. DATE: Thursday December 8, 2005 -- 12:17:58 pm Of course you could always go to Las Vegas and go to the M&M store on the strip. I'm sure there's others, but that's the only one I personally know of... FROM: The Dude DATE: Friday March 10, 2006 -- 7:49:01 pm I think they taste like crap!! FROM: maddi king [E-Mail] DATE: Tuesday April 4, 2006 -- 10:40:06 pm i just would like to ask you some qestion? Is it easy being an actor or hard being an actor.
