From what I can tell, Drugstore.com has the best price on a single one ($19), though some places sell two for $38. (Remember that Drugstore.com has a 6% ebates discount as well...)

I was tempted all day long, but let's be realistic: the drugstore.com price, plus the coupons and free shipping made it impossible to resist.

For me, I want my big comforter and a ice cold pillow. I'm known to keep the bedroom window open in the middle of winter just so I can have a cold pillow. I dunno why, but for me, warm pillow=waking up.

Hrm...I wonder...Chillow as a usefool tool in picking up women...There's some experimenting that needs to be done. ;)

Alright, alright already. :)

Here's the scoop in the Chillow. The thing works great. It takes a bit to set up, actually, as you fill the insides with 8 cups of water, and the instructions recommend you let it sit for 2-3 *hours* to let it all sink into the giant "sponge" on the inside. I dunno if sponge is the right term, because the unit does not leak water at all.

Anyways, get your Chillow filled up, smooth out the air, and you're ready. The better the airflow in the room you're in, the cooler it will be. For me, I stick the Chillow in the fridge (NOT the freezer) for about an hour before bedtime, and it stays icy cool all night long.You can either put it inside the pillow case, to keep the pillow cool, or even just sleep right on top of it. Those first few nights were absolute heaven.

Here's the only place I've had a problem with it. You have to be gentle with the Chillow. Meaning, if the Chillow is inside the pillowcase, and you fold the pillow, or bend it, the "sponge" on the inside can get twisted around, then it's a supreme pain in the behind to get straightened out. One night over the weekend, I slept on my side, and without thinking, folded the pillow in half. Next morning, the Chillow had a huge lump in the middle. I'm still working on getting it 100 percent straight, but if you are gentle with it, it's a fantastic item.

On a 1 to 10 scale, Chillow gets a frosty 9. Setup takes a little bit, and you need to be gentle, but with a little care, it's a fantastic item. I'll take some pictures of it in the next day or two and find a place to post them.

Now, if you'll excuse me, it's 70 degrees in here, with the AC, but my Chillow says it's 45. :)

I guess it's time to mention: I received a mighty thoughtful gift from my wife and I now own a Chillow.

Tonight will be the first night I get to try it out. I'm way excited.
