Drive-In Theatres Return to New Jersey

I saw Star Wars as a kid at the drive-in. There was one in Atlanta, the boy was an infant and asleep in his car seat, so it must have been 95ish that I was last at one.

I saw The Last Starfighter at a drive-in when I was eight. As a kid already hooked on video games, it was one of the coolest experiences of my life up to that point.

The last one I vaguely remember was a 2for1. I can't remember the 1st movie but the 2nd movie was Flashdance. My mom wouldn't let us stay for that one. i think was about 5 or 6 at the time.

I missed out. As many movies as I've seen in my life I never saw one at a drive-in theater. In fact, I can't even remember ever seeing functioning drive-in theater.

I was in Williamsport, PA last year, covering the Little League World Series. I was amazed how many drive in theaters there were for such a small town. I have never seen a movie on a drive in, but it looked very cool.

I might have done it, if I wasn't by myself. That would just be creepy.

Just went to the Delsea Drive-in last night, and it was great. As Kid, I remember seeing Mad Max there. Took the kids and saw the Village and Thunderbirds.

I remember going to the drive-in just about every weekend when I was growing up. If it was not with my parents it would be with my uncles. Loved going with my uncles because they use to takes us to rated R movies ;)

We use to bring folding chairs, picnic blanket and a cooler packed with pop. We would set up house right in front of the car…life was great. The last movie that I remember seeing at one of this great institutions was The Thing…man that was real memorable cause we scared the crap out of my younger sister…fun times.

Oh, almost forgot…there are a few things that I miss the most about drive-ins is the hot food…French fries in a cup…yum and the other thing is the ability to make out in public…ah, the good old days.

If I didn't go to movies alone I'd never go to movies. I even saw The Powerpuff Girls movie alone . . . in the middle of the afternoon. Fortunately, I wasn't the only scary, young adult male in the theater when the lights came up.

I go to a lot of movies on my own as well. I just can't understand why Huyen doesn't get as excited as I do to see movies like Freddy vs. Jason at 11am on a Sunday.

I must agree wtih you guys, it's great going by yourself to a movie, no one to distract you by asking you what happend or pass the popcorn.

I live in NewJersey and my nanny lives near Vineland.Shes like 10 minutes away so we are going there when we go to visit her.

I saw George of the jungle and some other movie ata drive in when i was like 7 in pittsburgh, i think there is still one open there but the one i went to closed, frown.

Went to Delsea Drive-in in Vineland NJ. It was great. A step back in time. I remember my parents taking us to the Ridge Pike Drive-in in PA just about every week in the summer, and the fond memories as a teen making out in a 63 Chevy. The good old days when a kiss was enough. I'm so glad the Drive-in is back!
