Cosmic Bowling

I can't believe kids today can afford to bowl. We did a family bowling outing recently and it was about $40 for 4 of us to bowl 2 games each and have a snack.

It is a brand new, smoke free bowling alley though.

Cosmic Bowling? Liked the concept, but like Ryan, I'm a purist. Play loud music? Ok. But don't dim the damned lights so I can't see the boards.

The lanes near my house have committed an unforgivable sin: For their Cosmic Bowling, they pull down giant projection screens, so they can show music videos to you while you bowl. Problem is, if you are bowling on one of the lanes that has a screen near it, YOU CAN'T SEE THE PINS!

I agree with Chris, too. waaaaaay too damned expensive to try and bowl at night anymore. Nice not having to breathe smoke the whole time, but still...$7-8 a game? Forget that.

I've actually DJ'd one of those cosmic bowling nights in my area. they had me run around with the MIC and ask trivia questions and give away free games, play music, and also some music videos on the screens (they didnt cover the pins)

Awesome! I've subbed in at a few bowling alleys before, and that was always a fun time.

I've seen a few bowling alleys, however, automate their music, which is an unforgivable sin. Besides, it sounds weak. (Yo, I wanna give a shout out to all my peeps at the Stuckey Bowl!)
