Sad, tasteless and pathetic. Anyone who was there, who had family or friends affected, will NEVER forget... no reminders required. I will not be seeing it. My money is going to the FD, PD and charity funds. MHO.

Since it's Oliver Stone, I suspect it will include a conspiracy theroy that involves the CIA being behind the attacks because a janitor on the 102nd floor was really the CIA operative that shot Kennedy, and he was getting ready to talk.

We can only hope all the people behind this movie lose the a$$e$ on it.

Well I here the profit from the movie is going to charities donated for the memorial fund, I think its sad but yet it's telling a true story of history, and think about it pearl harbor, u know how old that was, even if they wanted to make a movie they wouldn't be able to go into detail like they would now (besides pearl harbor was corny cuz it was an actually a love story) so technically u can not compare the 2

I saw a poster for this last night and my immediate thought was "how tasteless!" I just really hope that the profits go to charity or something. Not a single one of us that were around and old enough to remember could ever forget where we were or what we were doing on that day. Every second of that day replays in our minds every time the date is mentioned. I didn't personally lose anyone in the attacks, but as a member of modern society, I couldn't (and still can't) help feeling as though I lost a major piece of myself with all of those people. I know that we all lost the innocense of feeling like we were immune to a major terrorist attack. Why would I want to relive that feeling and allow people (who are crass enough to make this movie) to profit from this? I don't ever want to revisit the fear and desperation of the days following 9/11. It's just too soon. The people who don't remember or weren't around aren't even old enough to see this yet....

The movie is months away, this is what they want controversay, people debating about the timing of the movie, the pain it will cause, while millions will go and watch it. Yes they will donate some money for charity but, they will still make millions. Look people this is the reality that we live in it's all about the great big dollar, if they knew that they would loose money making this movie it would never get done. It is just sad that at the expense of many lives lost someone will profit from it. Look we don't need reminders about what happened, how you felt on that day. The reality is it will only get bigger and bigger as the release day nears, so prepare for more media coverage and debating to come. Piece of advise when I dont care for something I ignore it, but some will disagree look you can control somethings don't buy the tixs to see it turn the channel when XTRA, or ACCESS HOLLYWOOD, promote it. We still have some control.

I do understand why they have to make a movie about what happenned to our country that day. It is and has been a wake up call NOT to take anything for granted anymore. It was so alful for something to happen to us, as a nation, for people to pull out our American flag and fly it. What's up with that ? ? I am from a military family, and back our Government in what is going on over seas. I have alot of respect and love for our country and what it means when we say "One Nation Under God". I got to the point of not being able to go anywhere for some time after 9/11/2001, so when I heard about this movie, it just shocked me. There was alot of talking when "Passion of the Christ" was going to be released, Is reality too much for us ? I just hope and prey we as a nation DON"T forget 9/11/2001, and it doesn't happen again ? We should go watch it and Always Remember....

well i personally lost my cousin in tower two , he was on the phone with his wife when he saw the plane coming towards him , i think of the movie not as tastless , but just too soon, a movie is bound to come, but with the recent united 93 more was to come

Personally I don’t understand why people crave to watch this trash... are we really in that much need to be entertained by media? 5, 10, 20 years from now, it doesnt matter how long its been the movie has no respect for the victims of 9/11. seems to me another way of making quick cash from action/war mongers.. this is not a way to remember this is another action movie that will disconnect us from the real world...

I hope this is a conspiracy movie, because then perhaps a large majority of people will learn at least to question the government's version of 9/11. Evidence has clearly been covered up and skewed and the people need to know what really happened. I hope the story about the firefighters seeing the buildings being blown with explosives is told in this movie. Terrorists didn't hijack planes, OUR GOVERNMENT HIJACKED AMERICA.

Well, personally I do think I am going to go watch United 93. I realise that it is very soon to be releasing a movie about an issue that's still close to our hearts but hey, that's Hollywood. Pearl Harbour was too early - Hollywood wasn't as developed as it is now. It's easier to produce high budget films now and if it means producing films on world issues, then that be it.

Basically what Greengrass is trying to achieve is to raise awareness of the crew and passengers as well as volunteers who lost their lives in such a heroic way. There really are some amongst us who were too young to understand the attacks on the day it happened, and now it's their chance to become aware of it all. I don't think Greengrass should be put in a negative light for trying to help us, especially those who were too young, remember heroic everyday people.

Yes, it is sad that people are using 9/11 as an excuse to enlist in the army for an absolutely pointless war but you'll find people like that anywhere.

I think it's more of a personal thing - if you want to watch it do so, if you don't, don't: you shouldn't criticise someone for choosing to do one or the other.

Well it's opening night, and of course I went to see the movie. At the begining of the movie it was 9/11 all over again just like I remember when it actually happened. It was sad to see it all over again. But this movie takes you into what they were going thru during events as rocks , concrete blocks falling on top of them people pleading to stay alive, thinking about their families and to stay awake. It was very well directed graphics were impressive and the acting as well. It gave me a different persective of what happened inside the building after the buildings had fallen. It really made me think about what is MOST important in our lives. Our Family. I don't think anyone disslike this movie because it does have a happy ending about two cops which is what this movie is all about. You got to see it to understand.

I do hope everyone who was part of this movie project will give alot of their earnings to the victims of September 11, 2001 because the still need our help
