After-Holiday Sales

Holy crap, do I like after-holiday sales.

Yesterday while shopping for the usual goods at Target, my wife and I explored their holiday section. Everything was 75% off, which meant that things were pretty darned cheap. My favorite items? 69 cent bags of candy (oh, how I wish we bought more for Halloween…), $1 method room sprays, a $1.25 tree skirt, and five tins (with popcorn, though we bought them for the tins) for $4.00.

Did you snag any solid deals?

Wow..9 month old candy? Remind me not to trick or treat in Chicago this year. 😉

I’m going after-holiday shopping tomorrow, because my fiancee’s birthday is on the 10th. Let’s hope that I get an idea for a gift, let alone a good deal. I usually have good luck with after-Xmas sales. Usually, though, the sales seem to be good on big-ticket items. Not much in the way of clothing, small gifts, etc. I’m not looking to buy an 60″ plasma HDTV (yet), so I hope the sales are good at other stores than Circuit City…

…although she actually does want a Wii…

my fiancee’s birthday

I take it the proposal in Florida went well, then! Congrats, Dave!

Hey, thanks guys. I thought I had mentioned it at some point on here..Yeah, we both take a Disney trip every year, so I arranged to have dinner in Cinderella’s Castle..special seat by the window, the ring I bought came in an engraved glass slipper, immediately followed by fireworks. Cost a couple of bucks (at Disney..that translates into quite a bit), but very worth it. 🙂 I’ll have some pictures in the next few weeks. Disney provided a photographer who took 50-or-so pics, so I’ll find somewhere to put them soon.

As for the Ping and after holiday sales, I’m due to go shopping tomorrow..here’s hoping for some inspiration at the mall. *groan*

What is this then?
