ER

I’ve never been to the ER in my entire life. Not once.

My sister and her family have been to the ER ten times in the last eight months, with all five members of the family making a visit at least once.

Read that again: ten times in eight months.

I’m not sure if they have a frequent visitor punchcard, but if they do, I’m pretty sure their next one’s on the house.

My mom was there twice last year, once she fell and the other time she was losing scary amounts of blood.

It sucks the energy out of you!

Perhaps your relatives have a small plaque on the wall there now? I hope everyone is ok!

I’ve been to the ER about 3 times in my 26 years. Twice for blood poisoning and once for hitting my head on a piece of metal.

I had to take my dad to the ER once because he got gasoline in his ear.

My dad has had heart problems, including several attacks and bypass surgeries in the last 10 years. When they first started, when I was in high school, he was in the hospital consistently for about 3 months. Every time they released him to come home, he’d come back a day or two later. We were there so often, I actually knew the names of the staffers working in the ER. Pretty sad.

As for me personally, I’ve only been to the ER twice, both for the same condition. I had a severe stomach/intestine infection about 7 years ago or so. The first hospital in Lynchburg told me, after I writhed in pain for about 10 hours, to suck it up and go home. I went to Bedford hospital about 2 days later, and they took great care of me.

What is this then?
