I use a portable music player every day. I walk to and from the train and usually I enjoy listening to podcasts; plus, I listen to a lot of music at work. When I'm there, headphones aren't a big deal. But when I'm walking or on the train headphones are a bigger deal.
I have a pair of Sony earbuds that do the job pretty well. They're a little beat up and have no soft pads but the inline volume control makes me very happy. There's just one problem: the cords are a big pain in the butt. I normally put my iPod in one of my inner coat jackets or in the cell phone pocket of my backpack, which puts it on the strap. That's not a problem. But then I have to make sure the cords are either under or over the strap, and possibly over or under my scarf as well.
The solution for this? Wireless earbuds. But I haven't seen a pair that works with regular ol' music players without Bluetooth. So the next solution would be some earbuds that do miraculous things with cords... I'm just not sure how to fix it.
Do your cords get you down, too?
