Ah, WarGames. I have fond memories of this movie… or more specifically, I have fond memories of this movie being on HBO all the time back in the day.

The movie mostly stands up as a curiosity piece nowadays. The story is pretty straightforward and, well, I enjoyed watching it again… but also thought it’d have a radically different take on it in the 80s, when the USSR existed. The last scenes with WOPR going looney when playing games freaked me out as a kid.

This remains one of my all-time favorites! I watched it right after 9/11 and felt a little on edge.

I can quote many lines from this movie :o).

Would you like to play a game?

What is this then?
