That show always made me sad. I guess it was a combination the fact that I was home alone on a Friday night, and all the the adversity that a family of ten must throw at the parents. Bill Kirchenbauer (I think that's his last name) wasn't a bad stand-up comic, either.

i loved the show, too! i've seen every episode, and i still have some of the ones i taped. i'm a fan of heather langenkamp's (marie), and that first drew me to the show, but i'll have to admit, the show was just what it was... good, fun entertainment. i also used to love watching the lubbock babes perform. i think "do you wanna make something of it" was probably my favorite song they did. by the way, did all you JTTOU fans out there know that 3 out of the 4 babes starred in a freddy krueger movie? that's right, of course, heather langenkamp was nancy, but brooke theiss (wendy) played debbie the "cockroach" girl in the fourth installment, and joanne willette (connie) played one of the girls on the back of the bus terrorized by freddy in the opening sequence of the second installment...just thought i'd let you know. :-)

JAMIE LUNER!!!! I has such a mad crush on her. Reading these comments has been a real kick. I co-created Just the Ten of Us and I'm amazed that so many people remember it fondly. We were canceled while we were a ratings winner. I really loved this show also. Its such a shame that it was canceled; its even more of a shame that those of us who are admirers of the show can't get copies of it. In an age where we are releasing DVD's of a TV show that didn't even make it through one season ( i refer here to the release of My Big Fat Greek Life on DVD), its frustrating that a show that lasted two great seasons might never see a release date. I have every episode on VHS tapes, but the quality is so poor that it gives me a headache to watch most of it. Is there any way to touch-up VHS tapes so I could possibly salvage this precious viewing material? If anyone has good copies of this show, I'd be interested in buying!

I'm so glad a number of people loved this show as much as I did. It goes down as one of my two or three favorite shows of all time.

I have all episodes on tape and counted only 45 instead of 47 (where am I missing the other two?).

Also, I have a major, major problem with those who say J10 was insulting to Catholics, or stereotypical, or other nonsense like that.

You want to read something strange? The show has been off the air for 14 years (a huge loss to us all), and I have been able to watch only one network series since then: the first 3 seasons of "Frasier." Why? Because everything else totally sucked!!

My apologies if this is rambling, but there is just so much to say. As with one of the e-mailers above, Marie was my favorite Lubbock daughter.

As for you, Steve Marshall -- THANK YOU for co-creating a show I really looked forward to each week. Do you, by chance, have a color photo of the cast? Bill Kirchenbauer and Deborah Harmon were top-notch in their roles.

One e-mailer on a totally different site wrote "Just the Ten of Us was crap from the very beginning..." I say, screw those people! They didn't seem to have a problem with other sitcoms that were spinoffs; why are they ragging on J10?

The episode with Matthew Perry (called "The Dinner Test") is perhaps my favorite. Regrettably, there is one episode I absolutely refuse to watch: "The Voice of God." It seemed to me that, in the episode, Eureka's citizens were making fun of Elizabeth's speaking with God.

I used to love this show too! I was in the 5th and 6th grades when it was airing and it was my favorite. I used to watch the USA network reruns too. I remember when it used to be on that a lot of holy roller parents were upset with the sometimes raunchy jokes and the skimpy clothes that the daughters would wear, and I think that might have been one reason they cancelled it (it was on ABC after all). I really really hope it comes out on DVD.
