Do you remember this show? Sure you do! It all started when Growing Pains - the highly-successful ABC sitcom of the 80s - needed a spinoff to, er, extend its success. Coincidentally, there was a character at the high school the Seaver kids attended named Coach Lubbock. Add in a backstory (he's married with seven kids and one on the way) and, bammo! It's a spinoff. The whole thing was the usual 80s cheeseball but, man, I still like it. I wish I could watch it now. I remember the big old house they bought very, very far from Growing Pains' locale (original, that!) along with the entire intro. I even typed out the song with my pal Liz on AIM one night. It's scary when you remember a show so well; it's even scarier when you remember the theme song to a show so well. - pm Comments

DATE: Sunday February 27, 2000 -- 3:10:19PM That show always made me sad. I guess it was a combination the fact that I was home alone on a Friday night, and all the the adversity that a family of ten must throw at the parents. Bill Kirchenbauer (I think that's his last name) wasn't a bad stand-up comic, either. FROM: Melissa DATE: Thursday May 3, 2001 -- 8:59:11PM I loved that show!..infact back in I think 92 or 93 they started showing re-runs of it on the cable USA network.I'm so lame I used to tape them.Sadly enough I still own a cassette of "Nelson After the Rain" too. FROM: Anne DATE: Monday February 10, 2003 -- 3:17:06 am ps. i think i remember 2 of the songs that the Lubbock Babes sang, but im not quite sure of the song titles: FROM: juan DATE: Tuesday April 8, 2003 -- 6:22:06 pm i loved the show, too! i've seen every episode, and i still have some of the ones i taped. i'm a fan of heather langenkamp's (marie), and that first drew me to the show, but i'll have to admit, the show was just what it was... good, fun entertainment. i also used to love watching the lubbock babes perform. i think "do you wanna make something of it" was probably my favorite song they did. by the way, did all you JTTOU fans out there know that 3 out of the 4 babes starred in a freddy krueger movie? that's right, of course, heather langenkamp was nancy, but brooke theiss (wendy) played debbie the "cockroach" girl in the fourth installment, and joanne willette (connie) played one of the girls on the back of the bus terrorized by freddy in the opening sequence of the second installment...just thought i'd let you know. :-) FROM: donna martin DATE: Tuesday May 27, 2003 -- 11:58:32 am It was my favorite show and one night BOOM! it was gone and I never did find out why. I have been looking for some place or thing to tell me the reason. FROM: SEAN DATE: Tuesday May 27, 2003 -- 4:26:29 pm Just the Ten of Us was awesome! I loved it! my brother and I'd watch it every week! It was so cool how three of the Lubbock babes were in Elm Street films, and the humor was raunchy and colorful! it was way better than Growing Pains! FROM: Jorge DATE: Saturday June 28, 2003 -- 11:37:00 am If someone has these episodes, please email me. I would like to put them on DVD. FROM: Kartano-man DATE: Thursday July 17, 2003 -- 1:37:59 pm One of my favorite shows back in the day! I have two VHS tapes filled with episodes from when USA aired it in 1991-92 and still watch them from time to time. I had a HUGE crush on Jamie Luner ("Cindy") and I recently rented a movie which featured Brooke Theiss ("Wendy") in it ... it's called "Quicksand." I was in the 4th grade when the show originally aired. Me and my friends used to pretend we were the Lubbock babes at school. We made a chubby guy in our class be the dad. We would even act out the singing parts at my house. Ok I am sure you all think I am crazy but I was only 10. I would love to buy tapes from anyone who has them espically the singing episodes. FROM: Paul DATE: Tuesday December 30, 2003 -- 10:32:18 pm Nearly four years ago, I would have never have guessed that this would become a platform for tape trading and "Perfect Strangers" episodes. FROM: Doc Brown DATE: Tuesday January 13, 2004 -- 8:01:36 am JAMIE LUNER!!!! I has such a mad crush on her. I taped every episode ( back in the 80's) One night my cable went out & I needed to have all the episodes on tape, so I took my old tv ( rabbit ears TV) placed my camcorder infront of the screen to tape the episode. SAD BUT TRUE. Also if they ever do a movie on the life of the WWF McMahons Jamie Luner has to play Stephanie. FROM: Justin DATE: Thursday February 19, 2004 -- 7:43:06 am I need to purchase these episodes from anyone who may have them. Please email me and let me know. Thanks SO much. FROM: angela DATE: Saturday March 13, 2004 -- 7:20:26 pm i too am a huge fan of just the ten of us and would love to buy copies of the series. i have been trying to email the network and see if they could either re-run the show or put the episodes for sale but my emails keep coming back so if anyone can get through to the networks let them know that there are others that are desperately waiting to see the show as well. FROM: Danielle DATE: Wednesday March 24, 2004 -- 12:26:56 am ya know, just recently i randomly thought about JTTOU- it was my favorite show and , yes, I too taped every episode. I am so shocked to see that so many others have too! I lost my tapes and am so upset about it! What I would do to kick back and and enjoy the show all over again, it would bring back so many memories! I see many people have requested copies of tapes and I'd really like if anyone can help me out as well with that. I really would appreciate it! TYTYTY! FROM: Steve Marshall DATE: Monday April 12, 2004 -- 3:01:35 am Reading these comments has been a real kick. I co-created Just the Ten of Us and I'm amazed that so many people remember it fondly. We were canceled while we were a ratings winner. But ABC could only say, "We just don't like it so we're canceling it." I think someone is selling episode collections on e-bay now. Who knew? Thanks, all of you. FROM: StageFrightz DATE: Wednesday April 21, 2004 -- 1:30:12 pm Loved it! (Still do.) They cancelled it because they didn't like it... wonderful.... FROM: Kelly DATE: Friday May 7, 2004 -- 5:25:15 pm I just saw JTTOU on Tvland last night because Matt LeBlanc was on it. I really loved this show back in the day and none of my friends remember it, its so nice to see others who enjoyed the show as well. I wish TVland would rerun the show on a normal basis. Reruns of Charles in Charge would be nice too :) FROM: bim DATE: Thursday May 13, 2004 -- 5:24:44 pm FROM: Misty DATE: Tuesday June 1, 2004 -- 11:16:14 am I found this web site that you can go listen to theme songs from these show from the late 80's early 90s. It is really neat! FROM: Beth DATE: Monday June 21, 2004 -- 3:39:21 pm I really loved this show also. Its such a shame that it was canceled; its even more of a shame that those of us who are admirers of the show can't get copies of it. In an age where we are releasing DVD's of a TV show that didn't even make it through one season ( i refer here to the release of My Big Fat Greek Life on DVD), its frustrating that a show that lasted two great seasons might never see a release date. I have every episode on VHS tapes, but the quality is so poor that it gives me a headache to watch most of it. Is there any way to touch-up VHS tapes so I could possibly salvage this precious viewing material? If anyone has good copies of this show, I'd be interested in buying! FROM: Jason DATE: Monday July 5, 2004 -- 2:44:28 am I'm so glad a number of people loved this show as much as I did. It goes down as one of my two or three favorite shows of all time. FROM: Audrey DATE: Friday July 30, 2004 -- 3:45:12 pm Could anyone that is willing to make copies of all the episodes for sale please post their email addresses? I keep trying ebay but can never find it for sale. Thanks! FROM: Julie Perzan DATE: Monday August 16, 2004 -- 3:40:06 pm I would love to purchase a video of JTTOU episodes. Please email me if you are willing to sell. Thanks! I was in the 5th and 6th grades when it was airing and it was my favorite. I used to watch the USA network reruns too. I remember when it used to be on that a lot of holy roller parents were upset with the sometimes raunchy jokes and the skimpy clothes that the daughters would wear, and I think that might have been one reason they cancelled it (it was on ABC after all). I really really hope it comes out on DVD. FROM: Allison DATE: Monday November 14, 2005 -- 12:29:05 pm Go to TVShowsonDVD.com and vote. It works when a lot of people vote.
