"Welcome to Linn County
Grass Seed Capital of the World"
I think it's just hilarious.

My stupid joke about signs is always how it's mean to have "SLOW CHILDREN AT PLAY" sign... why make fun of kids because they're a little slow? But as I drive on, I feel better because I see they eventually get jobs as "SLOW MEN AT WORK." I'm not sure which stand-up comedian I stole that from...

Somewhere in the backwoods of VA between Richmond and Charlottesville I saw a "Fields of Boaz Road". Drop the "a" and you've got my dream--a field of Brian Bosworth's.

Upon entering the town of Luck, Wisconsin, there is a sign reading "Now you're in LUCK".. ha ha.

On the way from Milwaukee to Chicago there's a sign for the "Bong Recreation Area"... I actually saw that one on the way to visit Paul a few years back.

Another favorite is the ominous "DO NOT PICK UP HITCHHIKERS IN THIS AREA".

We Brits have some quaint road names, I live on Station Road but it doesn't have a station. Our village also has a "Front Street" The next but one village has a "Back Lane". A village called "Ludford Magna (about13 mile away) has a "Fannyhands Lane"

On some highway that may very well be the New York turnpike (if that runs between Youngstown, OH and Buffalo, NY) you pass two roads in a row named Gay Road and Pecor Street. I'm just assuming at the pronunciation of the second one, though. It be said "Pee-core" I suppose.

On southbound I-81 somewhere between Lexington and Roanoke (I forget exactly where) there is a sign that says "You are now entering Virginia's Technology Corridor" and there is nothing there. At all. Trees as far as you can see...

Maybe that's the technology at work. The technology is so tiny, they can hide it and you don't even know it's doing it's job. Maybe trees couldn't grow there before, but technology's made that possible again. Hurray for Virginia Technology!
