Mail Time

Here’s one that I’ve been meaning to ask: what time do Pingers get their Snail Mail each day?

Back when I was living with my folks, our carrier was consistent: we received our daily mail between 3 and 5pm. But when I moved out, I found that late afternoon seemed pretty darned late to get mail… and started receiving it around 10:30am. Nowadays, it usually happens before noon – but occasionally comes very, very late.

I do like getting mail in the morning, by the way. And I still like getting real mail even though I’m a huge fan of email – there’s something good about it. Unless it’s a bunch of bills. -pm

At work the delivery time varies widely... sometimes they don't even come. When that happens, they usually show up the next morning.

At home, I think it's pretty consistently between 1 and 3pm.

Well, I'm looking out the window right now and the mail truck's out there. Usually he comes between 10 and 12.

I Live in a rural area and my postman comes about 9am. Sometimes later depending on the weather or I guess his own agenda and modds, but always before noon. I also like to recieve real mail, even the junk mail, lol. Maybe because I am practically growing up on email... Anyway like the site. :)

I tend to get it about the time that you did when you lived with your parents. Usually between 3 and 5. Except there will be a rare day where we will get it around 8pm.

Always after noon, especially 12:30 to 2. Only once in my lifetime as the mail come after 5.

I get no mail at work - so I have no home, by the time I get there, my wife has pre-screened the mail and got rid of the good stuff, like the Victoria's Secret catalog.

A couple of years ago, our neighborhood was the training route for the post office. You never knew when it would be delivered, but it did not matter because it was rarely your mail in the box anyway.

What annoys me (and is annoying me this very moment) is when the mailman just doesn't show up. Since our work's elevators close at 5, if the mailman is late (as he almost always is right after a federal holiday), he can't get in to deliver the day's mail until the next day. Annoying.

If I remember correctly, there was one time that he was late two days in a row, so it took until Wednesday morning before we got Monday's mail.

What is this then?
