Oreos, Part 10: Double Delight

Though I agree with Paul that the Oreo selection is getting a tad out of hand, that won’t stop me from trying a new flavor when it comes out. This week, I grabbed a bag of Double Delight Peanut Butter & Fudge for $2 from Target. Though it doesn’t come near matching the joy of eating a Double Stuf, it surprised me, as did the Chocolate Creme a few months back. The fudge and peanut butter each get their own half of the cookie, and the amount of filling is somewhere between a regular Oreo and a Double Stuf. The taste, as long as you start with a bite that includes part of each half, is rich and creamy, a trait that Oreo imitators still haven’t managed to match. I liked them, but this will only be a rare purchase from here on out.

Looking at their list of varieties my big question is: where can I score me a bag of those Fudge Mint Covered Oreos?!

I see the Fudge Mint Oreos pretty frequently 'round these parts, Ryan - but they're in boxes, not bags.

I saw some at my local Kroger the other day. Do they really not have them in your parts?

Those SOB's have come out with so many crappy variations of their crummy cookie and taken up so much valuable shelf space in supermarkets that (s l o w down, take a breath) you can't get Droxies at most supermarket chains anymore!

Oreos suck!

I think oreo is overselling the colors of the cream too much. What about the color of the cookie? I don't think vanilla would be so good, it's been done. But what about a strawberry flavored cookie with a whit center? That could be good. And what about texture, why not make a softer oreo cookie. Look at chips ahoy. There's the crumbly cookie, and the soft baked cookie. I say soft baked oreo's would rock! Heck, while we're on the subject they could pull a complete koolade. Why not have an oreo that starts off with a white cream filling, but when you dip it in milk it turns to a chocolate cream filling? Surely they could do something like this.

The orange creme oreos have a greasy filling.

Yeah oreos are good i'm dying to try a coffee double delight but, i'm to lazy to go out and buy them. also the colored oreos serve no purpose except for atracting mindless consumers such as chantal.

I know there were orange cream oreos at one time, not just in color but also in flavor. I can’t find those anymore. The last time I bought a bag with orange cream they just tasted the same as the regular ones, It was most disappointing! I was duped!

What is this then?
