Geeking Out

Yesterday was a somewhat relaxed day in the house, although there was a lot of work to be done. In addition to the work, I spent some time during the day browsing music, looking around the web, and watching a little TV.

Last night as I went to bed, I realized something: I’d watched three hours (well, slightly less with TiVo) of Star Trek related entertainment. I started by watching an episode of Deep Space Nine involving a parallel universe (I’m a sucker for parallel universes,) then another one that was part one of two. Later in the day I ended up zoning out and nearly napping in front of Enterprise, which I never really watched.

While it wasn’t, say, a marathon of any kind I thought, “What else could I have done with those three hours?”

Do you feel that way someplace (besides work?) And I’m not the only person here who will actually watch a Star Trek show, am I?

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
