How much storage?

Go to My Computer and add up the “total size” and “free space” columns of your hard drives. What does it total?

Me: free – 258.6 gigs, total – 493 gigs.

I’m just curious to see how much free space everyone’s operating on. It was just a few years ago that I was down to the final few megabytes on my computer and had to uninstall software just to be able to get my e-mail. That’s when times were rough, so rough.

Go to My Computer

Why would I go to your computer?

Anyway, I'll play the Mac version of this game. Free: 98.2GB. Total: 148.93GB. Not shabby.

I must be due to upgrade my old Compaq Presario 5000 series w/ celeron processor. Here are my stats:

Used Space: 5.68GB
Free Space: 2.83GB
Capacity: 8.51GB

But, everything seems to work okay.

493GB? What do you do with all that?

How did I double post? Must be a glitch caused by my computer being short 485GB of storage.

No, Joseph, you're doing better than I am.

My C:/D:/E: partitions are all 2G (so 6G total). Free space is 513M, 171M, and 486M (err, so around 1G free).

I have no idea what the heck you would do with half a terabyte. Try to collect 0.001% of the porn off the internet? Run a movie download business? Imagine backing that sucker up. "Hey, let's go out and buy a 100 pack of DVD-Rs so I can back up my computer".

Admittedly, I have a 160G external USB HD. I can back my computer up nightly and have a months' worth of backups. ;-)

Yeah, I have a lot. But since it's so cheap, when I got my new machine, I piled it high with storage.

I have a fair amount of music on my drives as well as backups. One of the three drives is an external drive specifically used for these two purposes, one of the internal drives is primarily for video editing, and the last drive is my main OS/application drive.

What is this then?
