Today in conversation, the following question came up that I couldn’t answer: why don’t dogs have belly buttons?
According to a guru, they do! You can find it by a small scar under a swirl of fur on the belly. Interestingly, all mammals have belly buttons except for a few like kangaroos, wallabies, and platypuses (platypi?).
We checked our our dog this morning (she didnt’ seem to mind). It’s neither an inny nor an outie… more of a flattie.
