Warm December

It is December 1st.

Today there will be a high temperature in Virginia of 72 degrees.

72.

Paul’s probably buried under snow by this point. I’m jealous. And not just because he can still use his computer while under a pile of snow, but because he actually gets winter weather in December.

Not buried yet, but it’s been snowing hard all morning and it iced (!) last night for at least six hours.

Unfortunately I haven’t seen any chairs out in the street yet.

I’ll have some photos up on flickr soon, just for you, Ryan.

6 hours of ice should have paralyzed the city, no? Wow. I don’t enjoy the ice.

I wore short sleeves and no jacket when I left at 6 AM this morning. I believe real December weather (for VA) is due in tonight.

73 degrees in Philly today..tomorrow’s high? 47.

Funny how it’s 73 here today..my GF (soon to be finacee next week!!) are going to Florida/Disney World next week..high temps while we’re there? 73.

Good to know it’s gonna be EXACTLY the same there as it is here right now. On the bright side, our heating bill so far this season is next to nothing. I know it’s gonna change, but man, I love looking at a low bill..

I don’t care for ice. I’ve seen enough snow to last a life time, and I’ve built some pretty sweet snowforts I could stand in (when I was younger), not to mention the tunnel you had to crawl in to get to the fort.

It’s 75 here now. I cut down our Christmas tree in a t-shirt.

We down I-95 in the northeastern part of NC are also experiencing the most wonderful fall/winter. Temps on Thursday were in the 70s, Friday was in the 70s but raining. Today, Saturday, th temperature drops 20 degrees. I’m not looking forward to *real* winter, but then again, I’m no longer living in Upstate New York nor do I have to dig a Fiero out of snowbanks created by the plows. LOL.

Ciao,

72 Degrees in December is pretty normal for my part of Tx (Houston)… Its surprisingly cold this year, it’s like 50*f around here. Last year it was in the 90s this time of year. Im so moving out of the Lone Star State as soon as finances allow.

Interestingly, we’re due for more ice this year on this date. Mother Nature likes icing Chicago on December 1st.

What is this then?
