There were rumors of a Ping book, but those were started on the internet.

The Gift That Keeps On Giving

This year’s pick for the gift that keeps on giving is, without a doubt, the unabridged version of War and Peace on CD. It clocks in at a staggering 51 CDs with over 70 hours of reading. 70 hours!

I also like how the product page describes the book as “a remarkable challenge for any reader.” No lie.

Anyone here read it? Anyone up for the CD version?

That would go well with the “Essential Art House – 50 Years of Janus Films” 50 DVD set. It lists for a mere $850.

Also, I have “Team of Rivals” out on audio CD from the library. That beast (which I think runs about 900 pages) is 36 CDs. It’s no War and Peace, but it’s close.

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
