Haggletooth

Yesterday I was in my weekly Financial Peace meeting* and the topic was haggling and negotiation. We got to talking about it and realized that most of us just didn’t negotiate over prices at most stores.

And I can’t recall having done so, either. Garage sales, craigslist… those are places where it’s kind of expected. But going in to a Best Buy or appliance store and haggling? It seems… weird. I’m not sure why, but it just does.

Please, share your haggling success (or defeat!) stories. I want to know if anyone’s really done it successfully.

* Note that we’re in it for the financial info, not the religious-y info – and yes, grains of salt, etc. etc. etc.

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
