Local Government Webcasts

What’s more exciting than watching your local government in action on cable channel 34? Webcasts, of course!

While I sound sarcastic, it is actually somewhat impressive. Last night I attended a Board of Supervisors meeting that went for 3+ hours and ended after 9pm. By this morning, they had the full video online for streaming, the entire 3 hours as a downloadable WMV file, and an audio-only mp3 version. I have enough trouble posting two or three photos to flickr within a week of taking them, for them to get that much content posted and accessible so quickly is admirable.

I don’t think I’ll be subscribing to an RSS feed or anything, but it’s nice to know it’s there. Transparency in government and all, right?

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
