Waste of a Sign

Questions raised by the following sign:

Dog Waste

  1. Who is the one that really needs picking up after? The dog seems to be walking, the man seems to be squatting.
  2. Do sign makers not have access to a comma key?
  3. Does dog doo only affect the health of children? Once we grow up, do we form dog doo antibodies?
  4. Why is that if you read only the most prominent lines, it says: “Dog Waste / It’s required by law”? Shouldn’t a sign get across the same general message from a distance that it does up close?
  5. Why is the man scooping the dog’s business onto a plate?

And someone spent a lot of money to develop the pictogram of a person bending over to pick up poop.

Dog waste is required by law, Ryan.

Engineers have been telling us not to leash curbs for years, now the gov't requires it. What the hell?

Apparently, one of the diseases dog waste transmits is leprosy....Both dog and human are missing their feet

The leash is attached to his scooping hand, so if the dog takes off running during a scoop-up, the poop will go flying... which woud be great to watch!

Do you REALLY think people pick up their dog poop? - I think people should pay more attention to what their kids are doing these days! NATURE will take care of the poop...it has been for years! - It's designed because parents don't pay enough attention to their CHILDREN these days! (well at least that's my opinion anyway)... - Lizard

Ryan,

apparently you only have to scoop the poop on to a plate between 9 pm and 7 am.

love the dogpoopblog and the bust on that ridiculous sign. found another that seems to contradict the need to be seen at a distance and eliminates sign pollution as well! although this one appears to be designed for the homeowner and discreetly seen from the sidewalk... www.TheLawndog.com
