The Daily Ping

There were rumors of a Ping book, but those were started on the internet.

The Moving Pictures Archive

The Moving Pictures Archive

It’s projects like the Internet Moving Image Archive that remind me why I love the Net.

This ambitious project aims to archive obscure short films from the middle of last century. Many of them are industry-specific (“The Chicken of Tomorrow”) while others are mental hygiene (“Self-Conscious Guy”). Currently there are a few hundred films archived, with an intended total of 1,001 by the time the project is complete.

Check it out, but be aware that a broadband connection is highly recommended. The two movies I downloaded were 400+ megs (yes, you read that right). -ram

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
