The Daily Ping

There were rumors of a Ping book, but those were started on the internet.

So how is the Ping community spending Thanksgiving?

This year, Huyen and I are hosting our first Thanksgiving. Her mother, brother, and sister are in town now and my parents, grandmother, and sister’s family will be coming in today. We’ll have one or two more people coming tomorrow, too. It’s going to be a packed house of 12 or 13 people, which makes preparing a bit stressful, but it’ll still be nice to have everybody together.

We’ll be having pretty much the traditional Thanksgiving meal with turkey (Tofurky for me, of course), cranberry sauce, dressing, sweet potato pie, pumpkin pie, and several other dishes. Oddly, I’ll hardly be in the kitchen at all tomorrow.

Company, food, football, and food. That’s what it’s all about. Oh, and food, too. -ram

I'm doing the usual family and food route (but no football for me!). But what's more exciting is that tomorrow night I get to see a mega-huge show with Pigface, Gravity Kills, Godhead, and Imbue. Hooray! Industrial rock Thanksgiving!

Quiet day at home for us- no company at all. Ryan, if you need a break from the chaos at your house feel free to take a walk down the street :)

Well, this year I'm actually going to New Orleans to celebrate thanksgiving with my boyfriend's parents. They are serving fried turkey with all the traditional sides.

We're going to have our annual Paintball war, but otherwise, the holiday should be quiet.

Sarah and I drove up to Ohio on the 16th, spent a few days with her family, then drove to Pittsburgh to spend some time with a friend of hers and to see a Jane Siberry concert, then drove to Boston for Thanksgiving with my family, then drove back here. Ooooodles of driving, but we managed to miss all the traffic.

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
