More Good Deals

In these trying times, it can be hard to justify spending another $50,000 on an Escalade. What’s a rich person to do?

A while back, I pointe… er, my butler… pointed you to a number of Good Deals. I’d like to add a few more spots to that list.

First is Fatwallet. They came on my radar when they were presented with cease-and-desist notices for publishing “Black Friday” circular info before the actual day. As a result, I found a really good resource.

Also worth a look is DealCam, from the same folks who brought you DealNews and DealMac. This site is a digital camera comparison site.

The last one comes from a show on Fine Living, of all places. The Unclaimed Baggage Center sells stuff that has been deemed unclaimed by the airlines. All luggage is given 90 days to sit and mold; after that, this store buys it and sells it. There’s a limited supply of stuff online, but it’s still worth your time.

Oh man. Someone had actually packed a copy of Kathy Lee Gifford's CD with them. That person deserves to have their crap sold online.

I first learnd about the Unclaimed Baggage Center this past summer at a youth camp. A bunch of the leaders and kids were from Alabama, and they talked all about the stuff you can score at these stores. They said they will get in boxes and boxes of the same items that had been unclaimed by companies. I will make sure to check out the Tennessee stores in a few weeks, during my trip there.

My folks went a few years ago on a bus trip (!) to Alabama, just to go to the Unclaimed baggage center. They couldnt believe, not only the amount of items up for sale, but the variety of items up for sale. Let's just put it this way: Doorknobs were TAME.

I want to go to buy up the unclaimed vibrators so I can sell them on eBay.

What is this then?
