The Daily Ping

The original Ping was painfully written in Perl.

Poly Play

If you geek out on rare video games, you’d be hard-pressed to find one more obscure than PolyPlay, an East German stand-up machine that holds eight games. The games are pretty basic, like “Hare and Wolf,” a take-off on Pac Man and “Wasserrohrbruch,” where you catch drops of water in a bucket. The main display is just a German television set and the brains are a Russian business computer. They’re built inside a handsome wood cabinet.

Andy’s Arcade has a lot of information and some great screen shots as does this page.

So, who’s the first person that will build a Poly Play emulator for the PC?

Oh wait… it’s been done. Amazing.

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
