Three Day Weekend

So, let’s say you’ve been blessed with a three day weekend. Which day do you prefer off: Friday or Monday?

My pick is Monday, easily. This allows you to keep that Friday feeling fully intact, and lose the Sunday night pre-work week jitters. Plus, you know, it’s Monday. Tuesday is pretty benign, and I certainly don’t mind starting my week on that day.

Recycled Pings:

Same topic, different words, and shorter "ping" message.

(Returns to topic)

Yep, I would pick Monday!

Nice! Ryan goes away and I repeat a Ping. How embarrassing.

Anyway, I'm 2-2 on repeat Pings; the last one was "First Kiss" on 6.7.01 and 11.2.01. Gimme some credit on this one, though: it was a gap longer than five months.

And, only two duplicates out of 1,662 Pings isn't all that bad.

In both cases, I didn't even realize the Ping was a repeat until either it was pointed out to me by someone else (how did you remember that, Robert?) or many months later (look at both First Kiss Pings... I tell the same story twice.)

After I committed this heinous act, I mentioned it to my wife. I told her the topic and she said, "Oh, I think I remember that one!" Apparently, Ryan, it was a memorable Ping.

Ryan: It just hit me that I'd read the topic before on the Ping. Really, I thought Paul was running a "Classic Ping" or something.

As for why . . . beats me! I have a good memory for the oddest bits of triviality.

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
