The Fremont Troll

One of the stranger things you’ll come across if you drive around Seattle is the Fremont Troll, a large stone sculpture underneath a bridge. It was designed during a time when there was a lot of drug activity underneath the bridge. I was told the sculpture was supposed to act as a deterrent and has apparently worked because when I was there last night, there were a few kids playing on the troll as their parents looked on. For more information on this unique sculpture

And from a distance, he looks like Toxie.

Does your town have any random under-the-bridge sculptures that look like a character from a Troma movies?

What connection do you guys have to Toxie and Troma??

In the early 90's (1992 to be exact), I was the programmer on the "Toxic Crusaders" Game Boy game published by Bandai.

What a blast from the past!!

Other than being a fan, no connection.

Oh yeah, I'm also from NJ, so I guess that's a connection since Toxie was NJ's first superhero.

Thanks! I'm very proud of my book. I spent close to 37 years researching it and look forward to writing its sequel very soon.

Please forward your address and I'll send you an autographed copy of my next book, What the Hell Are You Talking About?: Adventures In Cluelessness.

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
