A Reunion, But Not Mine

A few months ago I went to my 10-year high school reunion. And that fact is the only possible reason I can think of that made me flip on the unbelievably terrible third season of High School Reunion on the WB a month or so ago.

And I am 100% ashamed to admit that since then, I’ve watched every episode. Thank God it’s almost over (next week is “The Prom”!) because it’s stupid and I hate it. I hate the show itself and I hate the people on it. I hate that there are people named Nikol, Brien, and Eze (seriously, what the hell?). And I hate the fact that I watch it anyway. Don’t I have better things to do?

How the heck did Tara (“The Baby Sister”) get invited? She didn’t even graduate with the rest of those tools! And why didn’t Brian ever get his own hall pass while Jim got somewhere in the neighborhood of 40?

I hate you, High School Reunion! I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU!

See you next week, High School Reunion.

Feelings like these probably account for over half of the viewers "reality" shows get in the ratings.

Well, I hope so, anyway.

After that donating blood ping, I've concluded that Ryan is on a rant cycle.

The awareness that one has lost control of simple decision-making in life, evidenced here by Ryan's inability to end his own misery by merely turning off the tube, must be a symptom of a greater frustration: the malaise of life.

Read Walker Percy's "The Moviegoer" and you'll understand.

Help is on the way.

It's just that I'm at my best when I'm ranting. I'm bringing my A-Game!

Read Walker Percy's "The Moviegoer" and you'll understand.

Funny story. In high school I had to write a book report on this book. It was one I wanted to read and sounded interesting, but I just didn't have time for it with all the other homework. I read the first page and the back cover and wrote my two or three page report.

I got an A.

I'm not criticizing, just identifying. I actually read "The Moviegoer" in college for a class. It's a yawner, but intentionally so.

Walker Percy is most appreciated by me as the guy who brought "Confederacy of Dunces" by John Kennedy Toole to the world.

What? The ubiquitous "they" made a serial based on "A Confederacy of Dunces?"

Oh my God! I don't believe it. You must provide a link. It's bound to be an abortion.

Funniest ping EVAR!

I don't know why...but I could hardly contain myself. I'm sure the ppl at work gave me funny looks as I cracked up in muffled hysterics.

Too funny.
