… look to your right. What do you see?

I’m at work, so I see my phone, work’s digital camera, a Renewing the Countryside 2005 calendar, and a picture I took when I was in Vietnam. I can also spot an old Dmoz sticker and the very top part of a sticker from, a site that sold millenium-themed t-shirts and stickers asking, “The FirstSecond is coming… where will you be?”

A small dirty bowl that had ice cream in it, my stereo remote, and a small jar of Honey and Shea Body Balm from Le Couvent de Minimes, not to mention a pen, scissors and a paper clip.

Thanks for asking!

I see one of my wedding pictures, a box of tissues, a calendar, and the back wall of my cube.

I'm in my research group's computer lab, since the computer on my desk is having issues with incorrectly installed drives (I swear I didn't do it)
So to the right of the screen I see... a raid array, another computer, a printer, another printer, a scanner, another computer, another printer, and windows behind that last printer. Along the way there are three chairs, too, and a phone, some stacks of paper, and an empty clear plastic cup. Out the windows it's grey with flurries. All of the computers and printers are on old steel tables with some sort of wood-ish veneer tops ... with ugly tan fronts and unpainted legs.

My cube's guest chair and the whiteboard.

Not much of a view.

Phone, date stamp and nearly dried red stamp pad, WOVO blue water carafe and cup, bottle of correction fluid, box of small binder clips, "ORIGINAL" X stamper pre-inked stamper, 2" x 1" yellow sticky note pad, floppy disk--don't know what's on it, box of paperclips, green highlighter, desk lamp, computer monitor covered with sticky notes, two-hole punch, 30 mL bottle of Pelikan 4000 royal blue ink, Scheaffer cartridge/converter cheapo drugstore fountain pen which has worked flawlessly for over ten years, box from Pekikan ink, red Paper-Mate medium point pen which won't write, belt-clip key ring reel (never used) with an ad on it which was given to me by a colleague, open upper right desk drawer full of papers and envelopes, beyond that is a metal framed window with the cage wired glass that provides a lovely view out into the hallway. The view ends about four feet later with the opposite hallway wall. I could describe what I can see in the window's reflection, but that would be nearly everything else in my office--and there isn't space for that.
