Crusty Email Check

We’ve been talking about email a lot lately (conclusion: we like it, and we like organizing it) so on that note… what’s the oldest message that’s in your inbox right this second?

For me, it’s a personal letter from October 9th.

My oldest in my work account here is from 23/08/2002 from my cousin. I have 12465 emails at the moment, and no im not organised at work. I am at home :-)

You said inbox, specifically, right?

At work, it's from yesterday because yesterday afternoon I went through my inbox and appropriately filed things.

My personal inbox at work has one from January 15, 2005. At home it dates back to mid-last year, I think. My inbox at home is out of control.

my oldest is one from Ryan's old roommate (Alvin), dated the 22nd of Feb. 2000. Eesh, that's old.

In my personal inbox, 6/20/2003 from a friend testing his outgoing email.

In my work inbox, the newest is 7/8/2005, Cingular telling me a cell phone was cancelled as I requested.

Just checked my home inbox -- March 18, 2004, from a guy who went to my high school telling me about a mutual friend who died in a mysterious way (perhaps self-inflicted).

It is, oddly enough, a message from work-me to home-me with some URLs to organize into my bookmark manager. I'm guessing some of them are a bit dead now.

Next-most-recent is April 2004.

I would also note that I only have 12 things in my "inbox" -- four of which are just reminders for me to realtime pass the info along.

From Old Fezziwig, November 1994.

I just leave everything in my inbox. My email works well enough such that leaving it all in the inbox works for me.

What is this then?
