method goes vroom

Not terribly long ago I wrote about my joy for method’s cleaning products. On a recent trip to Target, one that involved getting rid of all of our non-method cleaning products, I noticed something new in the Automotive section.

There was a full line of goods: cleaners, mitts, and the like, with really attractive and well-designed labels and good copy. Sounded like method. The brand was vroom and after doing a bit of research, I was able to confirm that method had indeed created vroom.

I’m really ga-ga over the idea, and here’s why: car care products have been kind of scattershot. You can pretty much stick to one brand for everything from window wash to wax (something which vroom lacks) but, frankly, it’s uninspiring stuff with really extreme packaging. vroom’s goods could, for all intents and purposes, be the same fluids and mitts that the other brands have but their packaging is far more interesting and friendly.

Beside that I, like millions of other folks, have had good experiences with method. I was a little surprised that they didn’t just come out and say that vroom was from method, but I suppose that’s part of the charm of it: it feels familiar and similar. And I’ll definitely give vroom a shot.

I have been looking for a product I bought from Target 3 years ago. I absolutely want to purchase more, but, can’t find it anymore. It is Vroom all purpose cleaner. I can’t pull up the web site. Any help would be appreciated. THANKS

Sadly, vroom is officially dead per method’s site. Target is simply clearing out all of their remaining stock.

A bummer – I liked it.

What is this then?
