The Daily Ping

Not a toilet in the country has not been affected by the Ping in one way or another.

Biggie Is Not Biggie

So this is weird. Wendy’s – you know them, the fast food chain, they sell food – has had “Biggie” drinks and fries for a long time. They were big, but then they added the Great Biggie for a while, which too was big. Anyway, they’re dropping the “Biggie” designation altogether.

That’s not the weird part. The weird part is that the Biggie drink is becoming… medium. Today’s medium is becoming a small, and the small is being shifted over to the 99 cent value menu. Best of all, a new Big Gulp-ish large drink is being added. Per the article, it’s 42 ounces.

It’s fine that they’re dropping an established name and going with conventional size names, but it feels like they’re really trying to confuse folks by making the Biggie a medium. The interesting thing about all this is that the kids’ meal is probably the closest thing to an old-fashioned sized meal for adults, now.
