Drive-Thru Cookies

This is America. We have drive-thru everything: food, beverage, dry cleaning, liquors (in some places). Why, then, is it so hard to find a place that does cookies in the drive-thru?

If I’m out and have a hankerin’ for some cookies, I currently need to exit my car, lock it, and go into a store. Too much work. I don’t have time for that. What I do have time for is some underpaid kid to heat up some pre-baked cookies for me, and give them to me while I sit in my SUV. That’s what I’m talkin’ about!

(seriously, though – why hasn’t this caught on?)

Actually, there are drive thru cookies at Starbucks; some of their shops have drive thrus with delicious macadamia nut munchies!

An idea I had was a drive thru just for milk, bread, and eggs. Think about it - these 3 items are the most purchased at a convenience store (maybe cigarettes is up there).

Drive on !

But the gross margin on milk, bread, and eggs sucks. The stores need to get you in the door to buy high margin cheetos. Nobody retail establishment could survive on the profit from milk and bread!

My kids found the McDonalds cookies to be disgusting.

I'd buy milk and eggs at a drive-thru, but never margin. I only use butter.

Fine in a pinch, but not for a cookie snob.

Boston Market has OK cookies....technically they are Toll House but when they are crunchy (I like my cookies a little over-done), they are very very good.

Here in central PA, we dunk them in gravy!

Maryland has drive through liquor stores. Too hosed to walk? Just drive up to what used to be a bank and ask for vodka. If you got the money and do not take out the wall you get the vodka. Most of Baltimore's drug gangs also deal the same way. Hand a guy some money, round the block, and somebody sticks his hand in the window and you are good to go. Best is buying the needle. Stick a dollar outside and as fast as you can shift from d to p to r you get a plastic wrapped tool that might be new.

What is this then?
