The Daily Ping

A surprising niche

On the way into work, I saw a car with a sticker on the side for a company whose business model I would never imagine has any sort of chance for success: Propane Taxi.

The gist of the business is exactly what you’d think: you want propane, they bring it to you. If you have an exchange tank, you give it to them.

And that’s it.

Should be interesting to see how this new business does. Someone set a reminder on their calendar and we’ll see if they’re still around in a year.

(No word on whether or not Hank Hill has anything to do with Propane Taxi.)

Note: they are still around. Someone set a reminder for another year from now and see if they make it to the two-year mark.

Six years later and these guys are still around. And doing well, it seems!

Amazing.

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
