Retro Now Photography

I’ve fallen in love with the seemingly recent trend of either combining old photographs with new ones or recreating old ones. Do yourself a favor and take a look at Irinia Werning’s “Back to the Future” recreated photo set (the first photo pair alone is worth clicking through) and chino otsuka’s “Imagine Finding Me” where the artist poses with her younger self.

Can’t help but wonder if our kids will be trying this out in 20 years. Will they be able to integrate 2D photos with holograms?
