Stores I Haven’t Visited in Quite Some Time

Like most of you, I go to a lot of stores. But there are some that rarely, if ever, see any of my cash.

For instance I can’t remember the last time I was at a Baskin-Robbins. Just a pure Baskin-Robbins, not one of those Baskin-Robbins/Dunkin’ Donuts things. It’s easily been years – I simply don’t really need their ice cream anymore, what with other good stuff out there. The only thing I crave there is their peanut butter and chocolate but, frankly, I can make a better version at home.

In contrast, however, I can remember the last time I was at a Wal-Mart: it was 2003 and I was on a business trip in Utah. It was 9pm and I needed a shaving razor; lo and behold, Wal-Mart was the only place open at that ungodly (ha!) hour.

The final one I’ll mention more as a joke is that I did, once, shop at Aeropostale – as they put it, “Mall-based specialty retailer of casual apparel for young people.” The year was 1993 and I went with a friend to buy some clothes for a date. Yep. That worked out well.

I don’t think I have been in a real Baskin-Robbins since 1990; I loved their Heath Bar Coffee ice cream.

I bought fabulous bras at Walmart about two weeks ago! Female pingers unite, and refuse to pay $40 for one bra! They have traditional brands like Maidenform.

I never bought anything from Aeropostale until they recruited me to work for them. Their clothing falls apart, really, except for their fabulous flared sweatpants that would make the hosts of What Not to Wear condemn my closet. (I obviously no longer work for them.)

What is this then?
