Women make wilk, big whop!

February 13th, 2000

Morbid Thought of the Day

I wonder if anybody’s ever used those $5-per-minute telephones on the back of airplane seats to call someone as the plane was about to crash.

Can you imagine being on the receiving end of that call? -ram

actually, I saw something like that in a movie. A woman was calling her friend on a cell phone while in her car. The friend was not home so the woman was leaving a message on the answering machine when a car crashed into her. She died with the phone implanted into her skull.

This guy I know was calling my roommate last year during a cross-country drive when all of the sudden his car went dead and he just hung up. It turns out that he hit the ignition with his knee and turned the car off, but he was afraid it was something more.

This same guy also was calling my roommate once when some thief was getting in a fight with an employee at the warehouse club store thing where he was working.

I feel almost guilty for this Ping now, seeing how this very thing happened within the last few days...

If you would think back to what one day will be discussed in history books then you would remember 9/11 and how half the people on the planes were using the plane phones, in fact they were finding any way of communication, to contact their families before they crashed. That's what is scarey, knowing that people really do find some way to communicate to their loved one at their final hour! So, I think next time before asking a question like that you should think about how it might make someone feel when reading. That's just a gory question anyways!!
