The Daily Ping

Not a toilet in the country has not been affected by the Ping in one way or another.

Pronounce This

I happened across a new feature (by way of Research Buzz) on my favorite online (non-meta) dictionary: Merriam-Webster: audio pronunciations.

Up until now, an online dictionary has offered pretty much the same features as the print version, except that it took up less space. Finally there’s a feature that gives it the edge over its print counterpart.

It probably would have been a pretty tedious job being the person that has to pronounce words like “chair” and “door” all day long, just waiting for that next “schadenfreude.” -ram

when I was an intern and had lots of free time I played lots of minesweeper and those word games on m-w.com. They were pretty spiffy!!

Rob--Let us be not ashamed. However, I am ashamed I typed "here" and not "hear". Blech!

That's OK, Robert... Rob would have only pointed the mistake out if it was me that made it. :)

We were really disappointed that "Deez Nuts" was not in the talking dictionary.

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
