Irish Potatoes

St. Patrick’s Day was a few weeks ago, and it’s one of the times of the year that I miss living with my parents. Why? Irish potatoes.

Each year my mom makes a batch of the tasty, super-sweet cinnamon treat (similar to this recipe). If you like sweet, it truly is one of the greatest things you’ll ever taste. And despite what the link says, low-fat cream cheese works just fine (and next year, I plan to try it with soy cream cheese).

Have any of you ever had them?

I think I’ll go have one now (my mommy made me some for Easter!).

And, of course, I'm Irish as well (admittedly, only 50%). The soy cream cheese is one of the best "imitations" I've had, so I have a feeling it would work really well in Irish potatoes.

I am half Irish and every St. Patrick's Day my family and I have these potatoes. They taste great but they wouldn't be the same with low fat.

soy and irish people mix like cops and punks.

Irish people mix with Irish people and
Irish people mix equally well with cops and punks,
So to say that Irish people and soy mix like cops and punks, you are saying that Irish people and soy mix well.
I'm Irish. I mix with soy, punks and cops.

I don't understand this comment.

I meant to say that Irish are often cops and punks, and Irish mix with each other, whether cops or punks.

I'm still confused.

What does this have to do with soy?

Not that "Irish are often cops and punks" means that an Irish person who is a cop is also a punk. I meant separately, Irish are often either cops or punks, and sometimes they will play both roles at some point in their lives, but not always. Sometimes they can be a cop and a punk at the same time, too.

Lots of Irish are neither cops nor punks.

But what does this have to do with soy?

Take a deep breath and recouperate, Joseph. It sounds like you've been knocking back a few too many today. And that's not a slur. I'm Irish, too. And I feel drunk. From soy.

Hey, guess what: I made these last year (or the year before) and they came out awesome. Just as good as the originals.

What is this then?
