Yesterday, I received something fairly important in the mail: a check. A check that wasn’t exactly a long time coming, but was very important nonetheless. I had grabbed it from the mail pile when we came home, and brought it into the office.
About two hours later, as I was sitting on the couch, I thought, “Oh crap. I think I threw the check out.” I ran, arms flailing, to the office to see if the check was in the trash. It was. I had almost thrown out a very nice-sized check, and all because I was anxious to dispose of the ads from the DIRECTV bill.
Is there anything that you’ve accidentally thrown out? Did it ever come back, or did you smack yourself on the head later for not getting it?
