The Amazing OS Machine

This impresses the hell out of the geek side of me: a guy had managed to install 37 operating systems on one machine! Anyone who’s ever tried to dual-boot with Windows and anything knows that this is quite a task.

Included among the OSes on the machine are Windows (dating back to Windows 1.01), BeOS, OS/2 Warp, and a number of Linux and Unix flavors. If you count the various DOS window managers, the count goes from 37 to 53! (The full list is at the bottom of the above linked page.) He used multiple copies of freeware XOSL to handle the booting tasks and spread the OSes over six drives

I could picture Terry Murphy trying something like this. Still around, Terry?

I thought those were just the crickets at your parents' house.

Is this thing on?

It took you how many years to realize there are crickets in VA?!?!

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
