Dinner Time

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day… but now more than ever, most of us enjoy dinner a lot more than breakfast. Hooray for dinner!

I’m curious as to what “dinner time” is in your household, and what it was when growing up. For my family, it was always around 5:30pm – after my dad got home from work. Nowadays it tends to be between 6 and 6:30, although depending on our hunger levels, it could sneak up on 8:00.

What about you?

Currently it is very irregular and fluctauting for myself. Anywhere between 5 pm to 8pm depending on the situation. In college when I had a regular schedule we used to meet for food at 5pm.

In college and with my folks it was pretty solid at 5pm. Now on my own, I dwell in the 6:30-8 territory, which is when I'm often glued to reruns.

Growing up, dinner time was always 5pm, except when my dad was getting home late... then maybe 6ish.

These days, our dinner time varies widely. We eat as early as 7 (yeah, I know, since when is that early?) and sometimes as late at 9:30.

Later than it used to be, I come home 5 - 6 then faff around for a while, wash, surf the web, ready to eat abt 7-7.30. Wife likes to eat earlier & moans abt it a lot!
