A Heavenly Spork

I think we can all agree that the spork – arguably popularized by Taco Bell – has become a part of our culture. It’s really the best of both worlds, and its name is a lot better than the “foon.”

Now, it appears that the spork is ready for prime-time. While I was reading an article about a friend’s upcoming trip to Ghana, I noticed that she had a titanium spork on her packing list. A titanium spork?

Yes, a titanium spork.

I think that’s just about the coolest thing ever. You know, someone’s birthday is coming up next month….

I would just like to note for the record that the Chris on that website who takes his sporks a little too seriously is not me!

Kentucky Fried Chicken popularized the spork way back in the 80's, maybe even earlier. I can't say I've ever seen on at Taco Bell.

Wasn't "spork" a Sniglet?

This is not as extravagant and wasteful as you migh think. Titanium is the most durable metal and a spork can be two utensils in one. This could come in useful if you like to go camping.

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
