Traffic Creepin’

I’m going to play Jerry Seinfeld for a moment, so please forgive me.

Did you ever notice when you’re at a stoplight, and the car in front of you inches up a bit, you inch up too? Where do you think you’re going?

This bit of “traffic creep” is something that I see all the time, and is something I partake in myself. But why? Why do we do it? We’re really not going to get anywhere faster, and being a foot closer to the red light doesn’t mean we’re going to make it green any faster.

Maybe we just like creepin’.

We do it because we're impatient have have dwindling attention spans. Sitting still is easier to do when you're moving, even a little bit.

I used to do a lot of "Traffic Creeping"

I became addicted to it and would lose sleep thinking about the various ways that a person can traffic creep.

That was when I was younger and more active in the community.

For me, I'd rather creep up a little bit than have someone try and cut in line in front of me. Especially in areas where you narrow down, such as construction areas. I mean, if you know for 2 miles that you are going to narrow down to one lane, don't run up in the soon-to-be-closed lane (or worse yet, on the shoulder), and then cuss at me when i don't let you in. You know better.

What is this then?
