Daily Drink Times

I’ve asked before about your morning routine, but today I want to expand on that. What is your drink routine throughout the day?

Mine’s quite predictable. When I arrive at work, I rinse out my teapot and get some new tea. Mid-morning, after the tea is done, I fill up my 32 oz. water bottle and drink from that through lunch. After lunch, I’ll have another mug of tea. If I finish my water in the mid-afternoon, I’ll refill the bottle. At 4pm, I’ll have my third and final mug of tea of the day. After that, any remaining water carries me until I head home.

And with all that tea and water, there are plenty of visits to the WC. But that schedule’s not quite as clockwork-like. I know you’re glad you know that now.

Juice with breakfast. When I get to work it's (*shame*) a mountain dew. After that, a bottle of water, usually refilled twice. Home means water, water, water. Ice water is, verily, the drink of the gods.

I'm one of those people who always has something to drink at hand.

I also pee a lot.

While I知 getting ready in the bath room I値l have two big glasses of water, then on the way to work I will have a large bottle of Gator Aid and by the time I get to the office I知 running people over just to get to the bathroom. But once I知 finished doing the pee-pee dance because I can稚 unzip fast enough. I put my things down at my desk (well that is after I wash my hands) and that is about 7:30ish, grab my co-worker and go to grab a breakfast sandwich with a nice tall bottle of diet Pepsi to wash it all down.

By moon I would have killed the diet Pepsi and two bottles of water and a few trips to the bathroom to go with that. I値l have my last bottle of water no later then after 3:30pm because the trip home is a very long one.

If I have coffee available, I'll start my morning with a cup of that. At work, I start drinking water pretty much right away; as a bonus, I'm in the bathroom just about every hour through the end of the workday.

At lunch I usually have a soda. Same goes for dinner. But that's about it; water is my default beverage.

I start off the day with water on the ride to work (about a half liter bottle). Then a nice sizeable 12 to 20 oz cup of coffee for most of the morning. Another half-liter around lunchtime, with the occasional splurge for soda.

More water in the afternoon.

At home, it's a glass of juice and some kind of flavored water (Fruit 2O or Sparkling Grape from Target), with the occasional diet grape soda thrown in.

And a glass of water about an hour before bed.

On crazy-busy days, the water throughout the day suffers, and I end up with just a little bit through the day, but try to make up for it at night (don't always succeed).

I have a 20 oz soda (Diet Coke with Lime or Diet Cherry Coke) as soon as I get to work at 4am, otherwise I'm useless by 6:30.

If I'm offered coffee at my 7:30 meeting, I drink it black. (Never refuse a superior's coffee!)

Then ususally another soda with breakfast/lunch at 9:30am. Then I try to stick to water the rest of the day, or on a Friday maybe go to the bar after work (about 1pm).

Must have 32oz of Diet Coke. Work at 6am is brutal enough, let alone having to drive during 3 hours of traffic. If I'm not awake, you ALL are in trouble.

I'm trying to curb my soda habit the rest of the day by drinking a lot more water, but in the morning, nothing but that shot of cold caffeine will do.

I begin the day by licking all the moisture that has accumulated overnight on the plastic shower curtain I hang outside my window. Then I wash down a morning breakfast of raw quail's eggs and sardines on saltines with 3 .5 liter (.47 qrt.) cans of crab juice. Before I drive to work in my 1977 Datsun 120A FII, I check the depth of the puddle on the passenger side floor. If it's over .5 inches, I use one of the many drinking straws that have accumulated between the seats over the years to drain the puddle to about .2 inches. When I get to work, I take the can of Redi-whip in the kitchen fridge and spray some into a zip-locked plastic bag. I seal the bag, forcing out at as much excess air as I can. I then put this bag under my seat cushion and sit on it for the remainder of the morning. I then take the liquefied contents and mix them with crushed "Ranch-style" Doritos for a semi-liquid lunch. Then I don't drink anything for the rest of the day, except for a Mr. Pibb around three and 3 fingers of Jack Daniels with 2 ice cubes just before the commute home.

Coffee in the morning: one mug.

64 oz. of water at work sipping all day long and at lunch.

24 oz of water w/dinner

12 oz. before bed

I almost never drink anything else. At restaurants it's H20 all the way. I never drink soda. I never get coffee from anywhere but home.

In the summer, about twice a week, throw in a beer.

On the weekends, when I'm not at work near my water bottle, I forget to drink so much. This results in a mild headache on Sunday until I suddenly remember that I've forgotten to keep up with the liquids.

It's nice not to drink so much, though. I hate getting up to pee.

I used to drink a ton of coffee...a big ol' cup in the morning and then some more around 10:30 and then I'd have a cup before going to the gym, around 6pm. Well, I decided to quit cold turkey...and my stomach has gotten flatter ever since I stopped drinking coffee!! It turns out that caffiene triggers some kind of stress hormone in my body that causes fat to be stored in my abdomen. So I quit the coffee cuz' I wanted a flatter stomach and it worked. Then I started drinking green tea...but I quit that because I discovered that there is some sort of enzyme in green tea that attaches itself to some protein in the body that can very easily turn in to cancer. So like now I drink soy milk and water...for now.
