New Holiday Idea

Here is my idea: the first weekday after a time change (either Daylight Savings or Standard) should be a holiday. Why, you ask? Because it should be. That’s why.

Okay, okay, to explain a little: it’s the equivalent of an hour earlier, so everyone lost an hour of sleep and probably won’t adjust to the new time for a few days… or a week… or so. So everyone’s going to head into work today feeling a little groggy and out of it. Why? Because we changed the clocks.

Short of dumping Daylight Savings altogether, I think having a day off in April and October is the next best thing. It’s not too much to ask, and everyone could use a couple of days off. Agree?

i agree. it should be a new holiday. to make up for the lost sleep and having a day off in those months would be just right.

I believe you, poster. We need holiday that fall on time change day, particularly if it's the first sunday in April where people had to lose another hour in sleep.

ANYTHING would help Bush's ratings at this point... I think it's a great idea AND George would be a hero to all ... [if that's possible...] :-)
