Scratchy Throat

My throat has been a little scratchy since yesterday. Hopefully this isn’t one of those “I think I’m coming down with something” moments… it would break my streak of not being sick. It’s been something like two years, I think.

So, to stave off any illness, I’ll be popping a little extra vitamin C (ODing too heavily doesn’t do much good since you just end up expelling all of the extra), drinking tea (as usual), and sleeping a little extra.

But, I’m interested in hearing some of your favorite home remedies for fighting off a scratchy throat and preventing a possible oncoming cold. Everyone has one.

Gargle with warm salt water! Works for me. My dad would say to dissolve an aspirin in the water.

Run a humidifier in your bedroom at night - and on your desk at day if you can get away with it. Nothing is more important in staving off colds as keeping your sinuses well lubed so that your natural defenses can work efficiently.

I keep my sinuses lubed up all the time, as I'm into nasal sex.

How do you keep your sinuses well-lubed?
