I Miss You

Time for a pathetic confession:

When I was in fifth grade, I loved Klymaxx’s “I Miss You.” For some reason, it’s overly sappy pop-R&B tone spoke to me, that oh-so-heartbroken elementary school student.

Slightly more pathetic: I still have the 45 of this song.

Even slightly more pathetic: I remember one night calling up WCAU in Philadelphia to dedicate the song to some of my classmates. A song called “I Miss You.” To kids I saw earlier that day and would see the next morning.

Clearly, I was a confused child.
