America’s Funniest Home Videos

Anyone that’s ever shot anything even remotely funny on video has surely heard the cry of “You should send that to America’s Funniest Videos [sic]” from a crazy aunt that subsists on a steady diet of Bob Saget and Tom Bergeron and is the only person in the country that realizes that, yes, the show is still on the air. Even in this day and age of YouTube, you can turn on ABC on Sunday night and see an audience of well-dressed actor-wannabes (I’m guessing) laughing at the former Card Sharks host as he makes fun of another baseball bat-to-the-crotch video.

On last night’s episode, my sister-in-law was on AFV, feeding a carp a Cheeto from her mouth. Tom Bergeron noted that she “waited with baited breath” (har!).

With how long this show’s been on, I’m willing to bet that another Pinger has either had a video on the show or knows someone who has. Speak up.

Ryan, I saw that! It was my yearly dose of AFV. I have to admit, the fish feeding video sicked me out a bit, but it was the lady surrounded by 6-8 ostriches that nearly gave me a heart attack.

Welcome back!

In college a friend of a friend won a big prize dressed as a gorilla while proposing. They may have won the 100K.

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
